This is a MxF Schedule 40 PVC, 1.5″” 45? Elbow, or 45 Ell with 1.5″” Slip Socket connection on one side accepting 1.5″” PVC pipe internally, and a 1.5″” Slip Spigot on the other side, which is the same diameter as 1.5″” PVC pipe, and fits into any 1.5″” Slip Socket PVC fitting, such as a coupling, union, or another 45 or 90 fitting. Also known as a Street 45 fitting, it is used in spa and hot tub plumbing to make a slight bend. Two 45 degree fittings can be used in place of one 90 degree fitting, with less restriction, or two 45 fittings can be used to raise or lower pipes to mate with equipment connection points.
